We made it to Paris.
David and I woke up this morning just after noon. We had about 14 hours of sleep after a very exhausting day. We’ve arrived safe and sound and are settling into our new home. As I write this David is doing the dishes… his regular at-home chore. More about our first day in Paris coming up in the next post! 🙂
For now, I wanted to share some pictures from the retreat David and I went on directly before we left for Paris. It was both a wonderful distraction and an exciting adventure. We tried archery and rock climbing and enjoyed a great campfire in the evening, complete with smores. As we went with our church group, we also enjoyed some thought-provoking discussions. We all read (or tried to read…) How (Not) To Be Secular, which is a summary of James Taylor’s A Secular Age. It was both intriguing and discombobulating (that’s a great word) all at once.
Here are some pictures of our adventures :).
All pictures were taken by my talented photographer friend, Nicholas Chuba.
David and I are just about to head out to the seine, it’s a 20 minute walk from our apartment!
Stay tuned for more about our first day in Paris.
