And now we’re in Burlington

Yesterday was moving day. It was a long and exhausting day and I’m so glad it’s over!

I didn’t realize how anxious and tense I was feeling until I woke up this morning. Sweet relief!

Even though it was a long day, it was a lot of fun, too.

First, we had to pick up the U-Haul truck. We decided to get the bigger 17 ft truck so we didn’t have to worry about playing Tetris with the boxes when we first loaded it all up.

That would come later…

And then we started to load ‘er up!

Of course, we took a few pictures and selfies along the way.

Mom was vacuuming and cleaning. We left that apartment in better shape than we found it!

All packed up and ready to go!

Last time ever locking that door.

Then we took a quick lunch break in the hallway of the office building in which we’re storing our things.

And then Apartment Tetris began…

We managed to fit it all in, and leave a walkway! Mission accomplished!

Thanks to Suanne, pictured in the purple sweater, for helping us move our things and providing us with the space to store them!

Afterwards, we went to Boston Pizza for a quick supper. We actually told the waitress we had 45 minutes to order, eat, and leave – Mom and Dad R. had to head back to Newfoundland that night. We did it all in 40 minutes. A+ for service, Boston Pizza.

It’s been a crazy year for this family! David and I are moving three times this year, Laura moved to Burlington on New Year’s Day, Sarah (not pictured) moved to a new place in Calgary a few weeks ago and graduated from university earlier this week! Not to mention, the ‘rents are off to Ottawa from Newfoundland! What a year 2015 will be!

David and I will be in Burlington for the next six days finalizing the details of our trip and enjoying some down time.

Next stop? Paris, mes amis.

*All pictures were taken by Laura on her phone! 🙂
