Hello there! My name is Amanda and I’m a twenty-something navigating through life as a wife and information hoarder (that’s totally a thing). I live in Ontario, Canada but I was born and raised in Corner Brook, Newfoundland (one of the most beautiful places on earth!).
My husband David and I met when we were teens and got married in May 2009 after a difficult year apart.
While David spends his days reading, researching, writing, and teaching as he works towards a PhD in History, I managed to get a job at a public library and I love it! It suits my love of books and all things information. I also get to work with children, seniors and everyone in between – whether that be through storytelling, technology classes, essay writing help, or just connecting people with great books! It’s hugely rewarding and I can’t imagine doing anything else.
I’ll admit, it was a bumpy road moving to the big city for these small-town folks, but now we’re professionals at living in a city.
I enjoy so many things – writing, reading, cooking, knitting, and gaming (I have a love/hate relationship with Hearthstone and Lords of Waterdeep is a game I can’t seem to win). David and I also love a good adventure (always organized and planned in advance) and we can’t get enough of travelling. I also really like to use brackets when writing (obviously).
And this is the perfect place to share my thoughts, adventures, and stories of it all.
